Alcon Partnership

Kennesaw State University’s Center for Statistics and Analytical Research has added another corporate research partner -- global contact lens company Alcon -- with the creation of a laboratory seeking to improve manufacturing processes at the company’s metro Atlanta facility.

The partnership will enable research and development of automated monitoring and controls, leveraging cutting-edge data science techniques, for a new production environment at Alcon. Currently, a series of sensors collect data throughout the production cycle at the company’s manufacturing plant, however, they are looking for input from University experts to determine how the information can be used to streamline processes and increase output.
